Petite Marie was created by Julie Gabriel, the holistic nutritionist and the author of THE GREEN BEAUTY GUIDE: Your Essential Resource for Organic and Natural Skincare, Hair Care, Makeup and Fragrances (HCI, 2008, available from Amazon.com).
OUR LOCATION
Julie and her team of holistic herbalists are located in the England's first spa town, Royal Tunbridge Wells. They make the beauty products by hand using only natural, mostly certified organic ingredients. Many of the recipes are sourced from ancient medical manuscripts.
FREE FROM TOXINS
Petite Marie products contain no paraben preservatives, sulphate detergents, petroleum-based ingredients, artificial dyes, or fragrances.
NO GREENWASHING
Petite Marie doesn't "greenwash" its products by adding botanical extracts to synthetic base products. We are proud to use only natural preservatives such as potassium sorbate, silver citrate, vitamins A + C + E, and essential oils.
OUR SUPPLIERS
Each products is fortified with therapeutic essential oils and herbs. We source our ingredients from all over the world, and we adhere to only the highest standards for our ingredients. We source our ingredients from Soil Association certified growers and manufacturers. Many of our ingredients come from producers of organic food products.
INGREDIENT SAFETY
As an author of the groundbreaking book on cosmetic product safety, Julie Gabriel closely investigates every ingredient that may be used in Petite Marie products. We take great care to ensure that our ingredients are scientifically proven not to cause DNA damage, mimick estrogens, or promote tissue damage in humans or in animals.
PREGNANCY
Most of our products can be safely used by pregnant women; however, certain essential oils are not suitable during pregnancy, and we will inform you whether a certain products is good or not during this wonderful time in your life.
PACKAGING
We use glass packaging whenever possible. For safety reasons, some items are packed in recycled and recyclable plastic. We use minimal packaging and polyester (degrabable) labels printed with vegetable inks.
GREEN CRED
As a proud member of the Green Party in the United Kingdom, Julie Gabriel ensures that each member of her team has regular paid time off to volunteer with a charity of their choice.
We are located in Carbon Neutral building, and we recycle all our office materials, packaging, and plastics.
